Max Yaney is a professional screenwriter who came onto the scene when the original screenplay SMOKE, which he co-wrote, went into major territories, including Lionsgate, Paramount, Warner Bros, Fox, New Line, and Sony-- the screenplay sold to Relativity Studios.

He has written screenplays for Patriot Pictures, Brickell & Broadbridge International, Escape Artists (Sony Studios), Offspring Entertainment, Relativity Studios, Cheyenne Enterprises, Martini Films, Proxima Media, Fortress Entertainment, TurtleBack Productions, High Water Productions, and Aldamisa Entertainment.​

Max has been a guest speaker on screenwriting at Monmouth University and Drexel University and has been interviewed by Final Draft and Stage 32.

Before his career as a screenwriter, Max was the production coordinator for Audience Network. He worked on the television shows Sex and the City, Third Watch, and Married, as well as several films, including McFarland USA, The Interview, and The Hero.​​​
